motherlode decaf instant coffee delivers a dessert-like complexity made possible by a delicate balance of Ugandan and Colombian coffees.
This decaf has all of the flavor with none of the caffeine thanks to the Swiss Water® Process which showcases our carefully sourced coffees.

Because of the unique name, it’s easy to see the word “erythritol” and conjure thoughts of an artificial substance created in a lab.
At Lakanto, the supplier of the motherlode's sweetener, they pay close attention to any studies released about all our ingredients - in addition to conducting our own research - to make sure that we offer the best possible products. And while a report of skepticism on the food’s safety did come up in recent years, it was largely dismissed³ by experts. We are supporters of our customers’ overall health and well-being. We advise you to advocate for your own health and to talk to your doctor and or health care practitioner about your dietary choices.
In the 40 years since it became a popular sweetener, erythritol has been safely used across the globe. Both the FDA, European Scientific Committee on Food, and World Health Organization have all certified the product’s safety.⁴
Lakanto itself was born in an effort to help people live healthier, happier lives by providing a premium sugar replacement. Since our introduction into the U.S. in 2014, we’ve developed a passionate following of Lakanto lovers who have seen marked improvements in their lifestyle goals. We hold ourselves to the highest standards, constantly re-evaluating and improving products based on the needs of our fans. And the natural erythritol has shown time and time again to safely deliver the goods.

motherlode is responsibility sweetened with Lakanto brand golden monk fruit sweetener which is a blend of monk fruit and erythritol.
The luo han guo fruit – more commonly known as monk fruit – is naturally quite sweet. In fact, the special extract is 300 times sweeter than sucrose – commonly found in traditional sugar. Because monk fruit extract does not impact blood sugar levels, it is widely known as a safe, and a recommended substitute for people with diabetes and other sugar-related ailments.
The extract of monk fruit has the following key attributes in the LAKANTO® range:
- Zero calories – making it ideal for those who are conscious of caloric intake
- Zero glycaemic index – meaning it has no impact on your blood glucose and insulin levels
- Zero additives – perfect for those who conscious of consuming sugar, but still want to enjoy a sweet treat
Erythritol is a type of sugar alcohol that naturally occurs in various food items such as grapes, pears, mushrooms, cheese, wine and beer, and soy sauce. This means that it has been a part of our diets for thousands of years.
In humans, erythritol is generally well-tolerated and does not typically cause any gastrointestinal changes. This is because of its smaller molecular weight and unique configuration, which sets it apart from other types of alditols.

Ceremonial Grade Premium Matcha
Origin: Single origin from Yame Fukuoka
Profile: Matcha is a unique Japanese green tea milled into powder. It is farmed, harvested and processed differently to ordinary green tea, giving it more antioxidants, nutrients and a unique vibrant green colour and flavour.
Ceremonial means 1st harvest: 1st season traditionally stone milled. Stone milling only produces 30g per hour.
Our ceremonial matcha has been carefully handpicked and stone milled from the first harvest.
Unique point: Motherlode sources matcha from the only tea manufacturer in Japan that adjust the steaming and roasting times of their teas to suit the countries they export to. We have adjusted our roasting time for this matcha to suit Australian hard water.
Tasting Notes: refreshing, creamy, smooth, floral, sweet
